July Boxycharm Unboxing!

Hey luvs! I recently subscribed to Boxycharm after hearing rave reviews about their June box and also their customer service. I finally got mine today so let's do a quick review of the box, the service and the contents.

For those of you who haven't heard of Boxycharm, it is a beauty box subscription that surprises you each month with the best beauty products from popular and chic brands. From nail care, to the hottest hair products, to the top skin care and cosmetics, They  have your head-to-toe beauty needs covered!.

Boxycharm is $21 a month and that includes shipping.. unless you live in FL and then there is a fee of like $1.26. It initially turned me off from them until I learned that it wasn't that expensive.

I ordered my box on the 14th, I got a email on the 17th that it had shipped. That is SUPER fast! It was in Orlando (2 hours from me) since Friday though and I could have killed DHL because it just sat there all weekend long.. or at least that is what tracking said. When my box finally came today, it was pretty beat up too so a big EFFYOU to DHL for not only being slow, unable to update your tracking info and you beat up my box in transit! >.<

Look how gorgeous that is! I am so stoked so let's get right into the goodies. I'm going to just type up what the card says about each item and it's retail value.

Pur-Lisse Pur-Protect SPF 30 moisturizer - Full size retail value is $55/1.7 oz
Recently featured in Vogue as editior's favorite summertime sun product. This anti-aging moisturizer has SPF 30 built in so you'll get extra protection for incidental sun exposure.

Ok this sunscreen must not only protect your skin from every type of evil skin cancer but that shit better sing songs too as it's coming out the tube. I would NEVER EVER EVER EVER pay almost $60 for tube of sunscreen..small tube at that! Either way I'm excited to try this, I will most def slather my tattoos in it. I hope it sings show tunes.. show tunes are my fav.

Appeal Cosmetics Luxurious Lipstick - Full size retail value is $22/0.06 oz
Intense color in creamy lipsticks. These luxorious lipsticks are long lasting and extremely moisturizing.

LOVE this brand and love the color I got even more, I received "Baby, My Doll". Not sure if everyone gets the same color but mine is a sort of Barbie pink. It's very smooth and creamy and I will definitely be rocking this.

Lauren B. Beauty Nail Polish - Full Size, retail value is $18/.5oz
Advanced, quick drying nail enamels deliver a high shine, chip-resistant, long lasting finish. Rodeo Drive is their personal go-to: an extravagant siren red that can swing classic or hipster.

This product is a MEH for me. I just got another red polish in my BB5 box and I actually like the red in the BB5 box better. Plus anything involving "hipsters" makes me want to jump out in front of traffic.

Bellapierre Shimmer Powder- Full size retail value is $14.99/0.08 oz
Bellapierre beautiful shimmer has 100% pur Mica powder, is 100% hypoallergenic and is suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive.

This is labeled as a eye shimmer but I'd be more likely to use it as a highlighter, very pigmented and very shimmery. It's a thumbs up from this lady.

Bellapierre Natural Lip Liner - Full size retail value is $18/1.8g
Create lipstick ready definition with Bellapierre's all natural lip liner pencils. Bellapierre lip liner pencils provide a finished look for a beautiful pout.

It's a lip liner, it's just meh for me. Also when I swatched it on my hand it left chunks of the liner in the little hairs on my hand.

Final Thoughts: Boxycharm is well worth the $21 price tag, your box was paid for 2x over with the purlisse. I love how all the products are full size and not teeny little samples and the make-up is all pretty high end stuff. Overall I'm pleased and I will be keeping my sub to Boxycharm. If you'd like to sign up then please click HERE (it is my referral link and helps me be able to bring you more and more box reviews)

Have a beautiful and peaceful night ladies and gents and I will talk to you next time ~

Smiley360 ARM&HAMMER Truly Radiant Mission

Hey Luvs!

Here I am on another mission from Smiley360! For those of you who don't know what Smiley360 is it's a website that you sign up for and you recieve free products or coupons in exchange for sharing your thoughts via social media. If you think this is something you might be interested in please check it out HERE (my referral link) and sign up! The will email you with surveys and if you qualify you will be sent the items to try out and then share your thoughts.

I've been a Smiley360 member since 2012 and I love it so much! I've been sent so many things to try. This company honestly is the best one like it that I've used ever.

Today I am going to be reviewing the ARM&HAMMER Truly Radiant toothpaste and spinbrush that was sent to me. Below is an excerpt from the little booklet that was sent with my toothpaste and brush.

"Brush your teeth with ARM&HAMMER Truly Radiant Toothpast and Deep Clean Battery Toothbrush. See for yourself how Truly Radiant toothpaste does much more than just whiten and how the Truly Radiant battery operated toothbrush is designed to give you the brilliant whitening you want and the deep cleaning you need for a beautiful, more radiant smile"

As you can see, both products are full size items that you can buy at your local Walmart, CVS or any other drugstore. The retail value for these items are, $3.48 for the toothpaste and $8.97 for the spin-brush equaling $12.45! That's nearly $13 worth of free product! (I told you Smiley360 rocked didn't I?)

Do your teeth feel cleaner? - Yes! OMG they feel so squeaky clean! And it lasted all day. I currently use Tom's of Maine because I'm not too wild about the amount of fluoride in normal toothpaste and the minty taste is a bit off and my teeth end of feeling like they need to be brushed more than 2x a day so I think I might just stick with the Truly Radiant.

How did you like the toothbrush? - I loved it. I have a spinbrush that is the "off brand" just a cheapy that you can buy at Walmart for $7 and this spin-brush made my teeth feel so clean and it was pretty gentle.

Have you noticed your teeth getting whiter (after 5 days)? - No I actually haven't. Whitening is somewhat important to me because I smoke (eww I know!) and drink coffee, but I haven't noticed much difference as of yet. I will keep using it though and hopefully I'll see a difference soon!

I know by now you guys will be wanting to know if you can get a free sample and I'm proud to let you know that if you go HERE you can request a free sample of your own!

(EDIT: Due to high demand there is no samples left at this point, however they are still offering a coupon for .50 off a tube of TrulyRadiant toothpaste)

Lip Monthly July + Canceling!

Hey lovies! It's time for another Lip Monthly unboxing! I am subscribed 2x to this service so I can always have a little extra for a HUGE giveaway that I'm going to be doing soon on this blog (stay tuned!)

For those of you who don't know, Lip Monthly  helps you discover the best lip products on the market. Every month they send you a unique box straight to your door and help you discover the best of Lip Glosses, Lip Sticks, Lip Balms, Lip Stains and much more.

RIGHT NOW GET YOUR FIRST BOX FOR 6.99 USING THE CODE SUMMERLIPS !

Lip Monthly and I have a love-hate relationship. I've been super disappointed over the last 2 boxes (this one and the last months box). In the end I've canceled both of my subscriptions to them but I'll tell you more about that one at the end of this post. Let's get into the items they've sent us this month.

I'm going to shorten this up and combine all the boxes items together or I'd be sitting here typing FOREVAH, ain't nobody got time fo dat!

Appeal Cosmetics Lipstick in Red Light District x2 - $22 retail value
This is a really nice, smooth and creamy red lipstick. It wears really well and is super pigmented. One of these will be going in that giveaway I talked about above.

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Straight Fixation travel size x2 - no retail value given
I love JF products and I love to flat iron my hair so this will get used up very quickly.

City Color Cosmetics Lip Balm in Light Pink x1 - $2.99
This is a nice SUPER pigmented lip balm. It's nice and smooth also. Only problem I had is that they didn't send me it in my second box.

Stila Lip Glaze in Orange x1 - no retail value (discontinued product)
At first glance I was HORRIFIED at this. The packaging shows it's a Halloween orange. I just knew I would be using this at all! Once I swatched it though it does not come out orange at all, it comes out a pinky-coral color and I will def be using it. It's not good that LM is again sending out discontinued products. What if I wanted to purchase this because I loved it that much and couldn't live without it?? It's been known to happen ladies, don't even front :)

City Color Cosmetics Lip Balm in Plum and Charm x2- retail value $2.99
Both of these are jumbo - full sized lip crayons and are pretty nice for such a cheap price. The colors seem a bit backwards to me though.. the red is called Plum and the brownish shade is called Charm.

Revlon Color Burst Lip Gloss in Sunbaked - retail value $6.99
Simple drugstore lipgloss, kind of sticky but wears well. This is only ok for me, I could go to any drugstore and pick this up. It's a pinky-brown color and should be pretty nice for summer and early fall.

Over all I am not impressed. For $10 I get much better stuff from Ipsy. Either way it is what it is. The reason I ended up canceling is because when I contacted customer service "Rachel" in my opinion was quite rude. Not only that but it took them several days to respond to my first email, then when I sent off another email explaining that it's not that the just subbed a different product for the second box but that I was actually MISSING a product, it took several MORE days before she responded telling me they'd send out a replacement product. Who wants to hedge bets that never happens?

I've got tons more boxes I need to do posts on though so I'm going to finish this up by strongly saying I DO NOT recommend Lip Monthly and would not to any of my friends or any of you readers. I included a coupon above if you still want to try it out though.

Goodnight Loves!

Treatsie June 2014

This post contains affiliate links.

What is Treatsie? Treatise helps you discover amazing, high-end artisan sweets you'd never come across unless you stumbled upon the shop. Every month Treatsie delivers AMAZING sweets right to your doorstep for a low fee of $15 a month plus $4.95 shipping and handling.

I recently came across this subscription box while looking for snack boxes. I am SOOOOOOOO pleased with this I can't even describe how happy it made me when it showed up in my mailbox. I'm going to show and review the items I got in my first box and down below I'll include a link for your first box FREE.

First off let's talk about the care that they put into making sure your box arrives on time and with no melted/spoiled products. I don't have a picture of it but it comes in this standard brown box (like most sub services) but the "extra" care is this: Your box comes wrapped in some kind of protective cloth and covered in ice packs and then sealed inside a standard postage bag. It (was) is June in FL and nearly 100 degrees every single day and my items came perfect. You open the box and there is a card on top telling you what you received, how much the item retails for and a little about the product.

Salty Road Salt Water Taffy
 3.5 oz box - $7
Each subscriber receives one of the following flavors: Bergamont, Vanilla, Sour Cherry, Peppermint, Sea Salt Caramel Apple or Salty Mango Lassi.

Thoughts: I received Bergamont as my flavor in my box, I normally LOVE salt water taffy but this one just didn't do it for me.  It is described as a citrusy, floral scent and it was just that. It was very floral and I just didn't like it. The consistency of the taffy was to die for, and I'm sure if I had got another flavor it would have been amazing. Still a good deal though and if you like them you can buy any of the flavors mentioned in the Treatsie store.

Brittel Bothers Cashew Brittle
3 oz - $5 7oz - $9

The team at Brittle Brothers makes a brittle that is unlike any other you've had. They start with the highest quality cashews available, then load the brittle with as much nuts as possible without burning the batch.

Thoughts: HOLY OMYLANTA! This stuff is amazing! The sweet! The salty! The crunch! Oh I just can't even put into words how much I love thee Brittle Brothers.

Olive & Sinclair Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Bar
1 bar - $7

Speckled with flaked sea salt, this chocolate begins with its clean salinity, lending itself to the occasional crunch and burst of flavor, awakening the tongue to a citrusy, deep, dark chocolate finish. Great for the chocolate connoisseur, and mighty tasty with a full bodied tannic Priorat wine.

Thoughts: Meh, that is my thoughts. The chocolate is extremely dark and bitter and there is way too much sea salt on it for my taste buds.

Olive & Sinclair Buttermilk White Chocolate Bar
1 bar - $7

Delicious and tany, 45% buttermilk white chocolate puts a fresh twist on a classic flavor profile.

Thoughts: This was okay, definitely better than the sea salt dark chocolate version. It's very tangy and not quite sweet. It doesn't have the smooth richness that usually is associated with chocolate. Either way my kids seemed to like it!

Jamberry Nail Wraps Reveiw

Recently I was invited to test out Jamberry Nail Wraps and I offered to post a blog review stating my thoughts and opinions about them.

The lady that I spoke with Mary was kind of enough to send me the 1 sample that was being offered and 2 others. I got the one I chose which was a blue and white striped wrap and 2 others that were SUPER cute! I planned to do a 4th of July mani with the one that I picked out.

I followed the instructions on how to get the wrap off the sticky part and to heat it up with a blow dryer for 3-5 seconds and then apply the wrap. I thought they looked really cute (I did my accent nail). Sadly, I took a shower about 2 hours later and the accent nail wraps came right off. I had also sealed it with a gel top coat and cured it with my UV lamp from Kiss nails. I really like the wrap and how it looked but it's way too complicated for something that doesn't stay on, even following the directions given by the company.

If you're interested in Jamberry I will leave the link to their site, you can also purchase their brand new Beauty Box and/or become a rep for Jamberry yourself and sell nail wraps.

To check it out click HERE

Edit: I don't have a picture of the mani because I had to change it right away after my shower and didn't think to snap a picture right after I did it, sorry!
